Introductory Flight
The Introductory Flight is your first step towards becoming a pilot! You will go up with an FAA Certified Flight Instructor, and during this flight, you will get to sit in the left seat (the pilot's seat) and get real hands-on experience!
First, you will go through the pre-flight inspection. This is where you check the basic things on the aircraft to make sure it is safe to fly, such as the fuel, oil, tire pressure, etc. We will show you the basic parts of the airplane, explain what they do and how to use them. Upon completing the pre-flight, you will get a briefing on the basics of flying the airplane. Then, step into the cockpit for your first flight!
We will walk you through the pre-takeoff check, then hand the controls over to you as you perform your first assisted takeoff! Pending weather, we will head west towards La Jolla, then down the beautiful San Diego beaches, and through San Diego Bay. The flight will last approximately 45 minutes, after which you will receive a logbook with nearly an hour logged towards your Private Pilot's certificate!
