Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). Great resource for students and pilots alike. They have interactive courses under the Air Safety Foundation, medical advice, forums with lots of information, mentors for student pilots, and just about anything you need to know about getting started in aviation. They also publish AOPA Pilot and AOPA Flight Training magazines and offer six months of free membership for student pilots, after which membership is $39 per year.

Flight Training Loans. Apply for a loan to pay for your flight training.

Runway Finder. Shows the entire United States on Google maps - with an aviation chart overlay! Find airports, distances, and possibilities with this simple tool.

Airnav. Find out everything about an airport - from the businesses located on the field to current gas prices.

Federal Aviation Administration. Some good resources here, too. Among them are databases of all aircraft and pilots which you can search, as well as the Federal Aviation Regulations.

Plus One Flyers. This is the flying club through which we do most of our instruction. Membership is required prior to any flight after the Introductory flight.

The Purple Board for Pilots. Another great aviation forum.

Weathermeister. Without a doubt, the best aviation weather website available. Weather is presented in an intuitive, easy to read format. For full service, membership is required at $4.95 per month. It really is worth it!
